Codes of Conduct in 2014

For many employers, each New Year means updating and disseminating a Code of Conduct, as well as training employees and supervisors in the Code. Many employers also have all employees “certify” that they will abide by all provisions of the Code in the upcoming year, and that they have abided by the Code in the past year.

However, a recent poll conducted by Workplace Answers indicates that a surprising 80% of employers do not train employees in their Code or Conduct, at all, yet alone on a yearly basis; additionally, the great majority of employers do not require employees to certify their compliance with the Code.
