The article examines why organizations rely on training, explaining that in many instances it’s required by law, or the company is looking to reduce its liability. However, as Sondra points out, organizations are moving beyond simple compliance and trying to improve their corporate culture.
But training alone isn’t enough. To make sure sexual harassment training works, employers need to take a hard look at their corporate culture and ensure it’s a comfortable place for their employees to work
Because if senior leadership ignores harassment or encourages harassing behavior, no amount of training will prevent sexual harassment from happening in the workplace.
