Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA)
HIPAA requires covered entities to have a written security plan for handling protected health information (PHI) and to train employees appropriately. New legislation in 2009 had the effect of expanding the scope of HIPAA and this course covers all new rules. For example, HIPAA requirements now apply not just an organization's own employees, but its contractors and business associates as well.
