In the wake of the high profile Mia Macy case of 2011, which found that Macy was denied a job after coming out as transgender, the EEOC ruled that companies cannot discriminate based on gender identity.  Over the years, Workplace Answers has kept pace with federal laws and evolving definitions of protected categories (race, color, gender, disability, etc.) by implementing frequent course updates—most recently to include interviews with the lawyers from the Transgender Law Center who represented Mia Macy.
