Course Customization
Our course content has been deployed to millions of users globally and has been vetted by the top legal and human resources departments of some of the nation’s most prestigious organizations. We receive an overwhelming amount of feedback on our course content, which allows us to deepen and refine our storylines and questions to accurately reflect issues presented in today’s workplace. As a result, we stay abreast of legal trends and employees’ and supervisors’ actual workplace challenges.
Workplace Answers’ e-learning methodology is based on interactive skill-building exercises throughout our courses. We primarily utilize storylines and scenario-based learning with question/answer interactions centered around, and developed within, the legal standards, the Client’s requested content specifications and the Client’s policies.
A storyline is an instructional design technique allowing employees to explore a legal issue or policy point in detail. Workplace Answers’ storylines begin by introducing a legal or policy concept and then demonstrating, in practical terms and situations, how the concept is relevant to the Client’s workplace. Scenarios are presented within the storyline, providing the opportunity for employees to reflect on how they would apply specific aspects of both the law and your policy to the hypothetical. Each of these scenarios includes a question. The employee is then required to reflect on that question and provide an answer to a yes/no or multiple choice question, or answer through an interactive model.
Once the employee answers the question, the correct answer is presented with its explanation. The employee is not allowed to proceed to the next page of the course before he or she provides an answer to the question and considers the explanation. At the conclusion of each storyline, core lessons are reemphasized. This instructional design technique reinforces the learning process, increases material comprehension and delivers policy mandates in a positive manner.
