California AB 1825 requires two hours of sexual harassment prevention training for California supervisors in ALL businesses that employ 50 or more employees. Workplace Answers course is designed to comply with and document compliance with all of these mandates.
Our Sexual Harassment Prevention training explains what specifically constitutes a complaint of harassment; specifies how and when a supervisor should work with Human Resources; and provides specific strategies for recognizing, responding to and resolving complaints of sexual harassment and unlawful discrimination.
Web-based Sexual Harassment Prevention Courses Fully Comply with California AB 1825 Regulations
California regulations require that supervisors – working for employers (with 50 or more employees) engaged in any business in California – participate in sexual harassment prevention training once every two years.

Workplace Answers Sexual Harassment Prevention (AB1825) training course was written by employment lawyers and sexual harassment prevention experts. California’s Fair Employment and Housing Commission (FEHC) consulted Workplace Answers when it needed information regarding Web-based sexual harassment training. Workplace Answers Web-based training is fully compliant with the California Sexual Harassment Prevention (AB 1825) training mandate, and Workplace Answers is endorsed by Jackson Lewis LLP, with nearly 400 attorneys in over 25 offices nationwide.
In addition to building a strong affirmative defense against litigation, Workplace Answers Web-based sexual harassment prevention compliance training course prepares employees to effectively manage difficult situations and helps organizations create a positive work environment. Workplace Answers has been educating "best practice" organizations in harassment prevention since 1999, providing training that is compliant, comprehensive and cost-effective.

Proprietary Pace Meter Ensures Supervisors Spend a Full Two Hours in the Training
In 2005, Workplace Answers anticipated the FEHC would take a literal interpretation of the two-hour training requirement, so it created and implemented a proprietary Pace Meter in the Sexual Harassment Prevention for Supervisors course. The Pace Meter alerts supervisors at designed places in the course of the pace at which they are working through the course to ensure they spend the requisite time in the program. Supervisors can also "mouse over" a meter icon on each page of the course to self-check their pace.
The Pace Meter does not frustrate supervisors or detract from the learning experience by requiring them to spend a certain amount of time on each page. The Pace Meter was designed knowing that some supervisors might try to step away from the program and have that time count toward the two hours, so the Meter automatically "times out" if a supervisor leaves the program. However, the Pace Meter allows supervisors to work through the course in several sittings, always bookmarking where the supervisor last left the program. Click for regulation language.
Workplace Answers Question & Answer Feature Meets State "Q&A" Requirement
Workplace Answers has always had a Q&A feature in our Sexual Harassment Prevention for Supervisors course, designed to provide maximum efficiency for administrators. The course includes four pages where supervisors are encouraged to ask questions of a representative from their organization's own HR department – or another designated party – and also includes a question icon on each page where the supervisor can instantly email or call to have a question answered. Innovative System Provides Complete and Up-to-the-Minute Documentation
To facilitate the Q&A feature in our courses, we have created a Whiteboard feature in our SLATE Learning Management System (LMS) that stores supervisors' questions and creates an interface to facilitate the administrator’s obligation to answer questions in a timely manner.
Beware of Vendor Q&A Services: Some vendors of AB 1825 courses are offering customers – for an additional fee – a hotline or Q&A service where an employee or consultant from the vendor answers supervisors’ questions. This approach is fraught with legal perils. How can the vendor know the organization’s policies, procedures or past practice regarding the issue? What if the supervisor gives the vendor inaccurate or incomplete information? To ensure legal compliance, Workplace Answers and Jackson Lewis strongly believe that all supervisor questions should be directed to someone in the supervisor’s organization. We strongly believe that supervisors should learn to ask questions of the appropriate person in their own organization, and vendors who offer such services do so only to generate additional revenue, not to provide organizations with better service.

SLATE Makes Tracking and Retraining Easy
Whether your organization chooses to utilize "Individual" Tracking or "Training Year" Tracking as specified by AB 1825 regulations, or a combination, our hosted SLATE training solution assures administrators that all supervisors receive their training and retraining on time and in accordance with the requirements of the statute. SLATE keeps track of the date each supervisor began the program, the date they completed the program and even the date and exact time they agreed to accept their organization’s policy. This information can be downloaded at the click of a button to a spreadsheet, and certificates of completion can be printed for inclusion in supervisor personnel files.
SLATE contains a powerful search feature, allowing administrators to find supervisor completion information in just two clicks. SLATE is compatible with your organization’s internal LMS or HRIS systems, and data can seamlessly be migrated from one to the other. Our LMS can directly email supervisors with a message you approve to notify them of their training requirements, and can email them when they are due for retraining.
